James P. Leary
President
As President of MCD, Jim draws on his 20 + years of leadership and management experience as an Officer in the United States Army. This includes commanding a battalion of the 82nd Airborne Division and the direction of all U.S. Government operations in multiple Afghan states, involving training and managing over 1,500 personnel conducting security, logistics, and development operations. Upon retiring from the military, Jim successfully established and directed the Government Programs division for Shamrock Environmental Corporation in Greensboro, NC. Jim is very active in local and national community services. He holds a Master of Arts in Management from Webster University in St. Louis, MO, and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from Elon College in Elon, NC.

Chad Gimbert
Vice President
Chad has over 20 years of executive sales experience and joins MCD after 12 years with GE Commercial Equipment Finance, GE Energy Financial Services and GE Real Estate. Responsible for business development, Chad has completed several multi-million dollar deals for companies across the Southeast. Additionally, Chad has significant experience in commercial real estate brokerage and investment. Chad is Six Sigma Green Belt Certified and has a Bachelors of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology from Western Carolina University.

Mark A. Smith
Vice President
Mark Smith comes from a lineage of builders and has managed several multi-million dollar projects across the Southeastern US. In 1994, Mark founded Generations Builders which grew to be a leader in the residential and commercial construction field. Additionally, Mark is a former US Army Officer and Attack Helicopter Pilot. Mark possesses significant safety, quality control, and project management experience. Mark has a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from Western Carolina University.

H. Davis Orebaugh, Jr.
Vice President
Davis Orebaugh partnered with Mark Smith and Generation Homes as Operations Manager in 2004. Through Davis’ leadership, Generations expanded across the Southeastern US building custom home developments and commercial properties. Davis brings extensive expertise in new construction financing to the MCD through both Generations and over 14 years as a Vice President with BB&T. Davis has a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Finance from Western Carolina University.

Donald R. Cake, JR.
Vice President, Finance
MBA, CIA, CCSA
Donald Cake is a Strategic and tactical planner who brings a wealth of financial and operational experience to MCD. He is well-versed in internationally based corporations with experience in Asia-Pacific and European countries. Donald comes to MCD from Sealy, Inc. where he managed the Corporate Finance Department. Donald has over 20 years of executive accounting experience with FEDEX Services, EXXONMOBIL Cop., and Booz Allen Hamilton. Donald is a Certified Internal Auditor and has an International MBA from Thunderbird University American Graduate School of International Management. Additionally, Donald has a Bachelors of Science degree in Economics from Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC where he was the co-captain of the basket ball team.
